Scottsdale ranks as the 6th safest-city in the nation, according to Movoto.com an online Real Estate site. The company looked at the 100 most populous American cities and formed rankings on per capita statistics relating to property crime, violent crime, and the chance of being a victim of crime. “There was only one murder per 100,000 people during all of 2012 in Scottsdale and just 147 violent crimes, making it one of the safest big cities in America,” the Movoto report states. The crimes were at their lowest levels since 1984, the city reported.
