One of my favorite things to do (when I’m not selling Real Estate) is searching for Real Estate. Innovative real estate to be exact. There are incredibly talented architects producing spaces that redefine what you and I would call a home. The idea of “if you can dream it, it can be built” has never been more prominent in Real Estate history than now.
The Vision of Scottsdale AZ
Scottsdale AZ has long been a place known for innovative architecture. With famed Architect Frank Loyd Wright building his winter residence “Taliesin West” here in Scottsdale in 1937. The award winning architect Paolo Soleri came to Scottsdale in 1956 with a vision of “Urban Planning”. He established the community of Arcosanti which is still a working development.
Hotel Valley Ho Scottsdale AZ
The Hotel Valley Ho is an architectural achievement in Scottsdale AZ’s history. The hotel was built in 1956 and was the first year-round resort to open up in town, and the first to employ “southwestern” architecture, bridging modern and western detailing, and expressing the cosmopolitan nature of Scottsdale. It is the only remaining historically significant intact post World War II resort in Scottsdale and most likely Arizona. According to AZCentral.com
Architectural History of Scottsdale AZ
With an architectural history as dynamic as the one Scottsdale, AZ boasts. It comes as no surprise to me that I keep finding exciting new building designs around town. Most notably the Museum of the West, located on the site of the historic Loloma Transit Station. The architects for this incredible project were Phoenix and Clifton, New Jersey-based architectural firm of Studio MA.
Scottsdale AZ’s Creative Architecture
The creative architecture is not resigned to just commercial buildings here in Scottsdale, AZ. The trend in luxury condominium living has ushered in a new era of cutting edge design. Residents of these communities are not only wanting functionality, they are wanting inventive architecture as well. I believe the new buildings that our up and coming Clientele are requesting will meet and possibly surpass their expectations.
I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity of bridging my passions for Real Estate. In the form of helping my Clients find their innovative space to call home.
