When asking our Clients, who are moving to Scottsdale AZ. What was their number one reason for moving to Scottsdale?
The majority have said, “The beautiful weather”.
Kevin and I have to agree.
Reasons for Moving to Scottsdale AZ
- The plentiful sunshine, 330 days a year.
- Average high of around 76 degrees during the fall and winter months.
- Average Rainfall around 8 inches per year.
- Low Humidity
These are just a few great reasons to move to Scottsdale.
I have to admit the summer months are hot….very hot! But in defense of summer I appreciate the very low humidity it has to offer. Phoenix is ranked #8 and Scottsdale #16 on the list of cities with the lowest humidity. I remember those long summer days growing up in the midwest. The humidity was so thick I felt like I was suffocating. When the summer heat starts to roll into Scottsdale the migration to Northern Arizona begins. I’ve been told by Clients numerous times that the proximity of Sedona and Flagstaff both located North. Are why they chose to call Scottsdale home. Both cities are less than 2 1/2 hours away by car. In the summer time both Sedona and Flagstaff average 15-20 degrees cooler than Scottsdale. Making them the perfect getaway for days or weeks at a time.
When deciding where you want to call home. Moving to Scottsdale AZ purely for the weather is completely acceptable. In fact In my opinion it’s one of the best reasons!
The lowest temperature ever recorded in the city is 19.0 °F (−7.2 °C), on February 20, 1955, and the highest temperature ever recorded was 119 °F (48 °C), on June 26, 1972.
